Kenny Slaught Discusses Mentorship Program For Struggling Children

The Hospice of Santa Barbara tries to meet the needs of everyone in the community who lost of a loved one. Kenny Slaught notes that understanding that children and adolescents often struggle much more when adapting to loss. As a result, the organization has focused much of its efforts on their critical needs. One of the most important programs that Hospice of Santa Barbara maintains is I Have a Friend, in which young individuals struggling with grief are paired with trained adult volunteers who also lost a parent at a young age.
