Hoover Dam, a project drawing its power from the Colorado River,  was created as a means to provide water and hydroelectric energy to a large part of the border between Arizona and Nevada. California-based real-estate Kenny Slaught comments on the positive impact of the building structure on the locals’ access to water and power supplies on his blog at KennySlaught.com. Slaught also believes that Hoover Dam’s enormous water capacity played a role in the development of some of America’s most abandoned regions into blooming economies.
