Kenny Slaught Welcomes Admiration For Santa Barbara’s Architecture

Architect George Washington Smith developed the Spanish Colonial revival style 100 years ago. Smith dropped out of Harvard to work in business, and later on relocated to Santa Barbara to retire. When noticing the locals appreciated his designs, we went on to create buildings for the city. Today, his works are known for their beauty and simplicity. He inspired numerous artists and became a founding father of Santa Barbara. Smith used genuine Spanish materials and mixed old styles with new ones in his work. According to Kenny Slaught, it takes a keen eye for detail to create such creative structures.
