Kenny Slaught On Why Santa Barbara Is Famous For Its Architecture

Santa Barbara has many impressive structures, like the hundreds of years old Hotel Virginia, historic El Pueblo district and the Old Mission’s two towers. The County Courthouse depicts colorful murals, while the clock tower and observation deck offer a scenic view over Santa Barbara. The 1873 Lobero theatre hosts the area’s best performances and was rebuilt by George Washington Smith in the 1920’s. The city has many architectural gems which were only possible to built due to the founder’s careful planning.
